Everyone loves chocolate brownies.  This version is even quicker and easier to make thanks to your helpful cuisinart!

1 stick butter melted and kept hot

3 squares unsweetened baking chocolate

1 ½ cups sugar, divided in half

3 large eggs

½ teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla

¾ cup chopped walnuts

1 cup flour

¾ teaspoon baking powder

Preheat oven to 375°.  Butter a 9 inch square baking pan.  With a knife, break each square of chocolate into 4 pieces and add to processor bowl with ¾ cup sugar.

Process about 1 minute until chocolate is finely chopped.  With machine running pour hot butter thru feed tube and continue to process about 10 seconds until chocolate is melted.  Add remaining sugar, egg, salt, and vanilla, and process about 1 minute scraping down if necessary.  Add nuts, flour and sprinkle baking powder on top of flour.  Pulse on and off 4 or 5 times scraping down until flour disappears.  Do not over-process.

Spoon batter into pan.  Bake at 375° for 15 minutes, then turn oven down to 350° and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
