Color Themes

I've always loved Ina Garten's method of flower arranging.  She uses usually three different flowers in the same color.  I've tried this on many occasions using vegetables.   One of my favorites is harricot verts, pea pods and baby peas.  Last night (Christmas!) Roasted carrots and chunks of orange yams, both caramelized and on silver, looked and tasted great.  (A bit of a diversion from Christmas colors, I admit.)  Coincidently, our dinner guests brought a Red Fruit Salad of Strawberries, Cherries and Cranberries!!
